Yeah it was better before the "buff"....

3) You are farming, and DD works for your farming build better than any other Elite (I have absolutely no clue what you would be farming, but hey, it could happen)
Fog Nightmares, south of the temple of ages. They drop like 33 dust each and truncheons for steal/iron. Used to be all it took was dark escape, shadow refuge and run in with DD and pheonix and they all die, now AP>Bed of Coals>met shower is better.

If you want to boost your Fire Magic damage, you use PvE skills and/or Cracked Armor. That's it. DD sucked before and it sucks now.

Double Dragon is alright, but not the most practical skill for general use.
It forces a closeness to the enemies while making the monk[s] in your crew hate you.
I capped it when I was level 16 to level, it hasn't been on my bar since.

I prefer Savannah Heat for PvE. :]

i actually like DD with arcane mimicry and an ele hero with SF and another with savannah. that way i can roll 2 other elites. just a thought really.

Searing Flames, Mind Blast, and Savannah Heat are still better. DD is only semi useful when you actually hit with the PBAOE, otherwise its yet another attribute increasing skill. And using attribute skills for extra damage isn't that effective because the extra damage from +2 attribute is probably at most 20 dmg from each spell, which is horrible to waste the elite spot on.

The thing is all of ele's damage spells suck in HM PvE and has horrid DPS in most of PvP, so all this talk comparing fire elites are kinda pointless...
